What's On

Sydney JETAA plans and organises a variety of events for alumni throughout the year. These include movie and restaurant outings, Japanese cultural workshops (such as kimono and tea ceremony), a trivia night, and of course, our annual Bonenkai/Christmas party. Details are posted on this page and on facebook when confirmed (*NEW* click here to access our faceboook group) , and sent to members on our mail/email lists.

Trivia Night

Come and try out your trivia skills. A mix of Japanese and Australian trivia. All questions in English and great prizes for the winners!
$15 per head. Includes the following food:
        - Turkish bread with a trio of tepenades
        - Char grilled lamb brochettes from a Moroccan marinade
        - Trevally and chive croquettes with wasabi aioli and lemon
        - Homemade calamari rings with tartare sauce
        - Homemade vegetarian spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce
Cocktail happy hour is from 6pm till 7.30pm.

Japanese Shaberanaito

Our "Japanese speaking only" Shaberanaito is great fun and always popular. So much so that we had to cut off acceptances as all the places were filled last time. Join us for dinner and Japanese conversation together with Japanese native speakers. Don?t worry if you are just a beginner of Japanese language, this practice session will definitely assist you. So why not join us? From 6pm though - it?s "Japanese speaking only!"
Please note we cannot accept payment on the night, so make sure you contact the Australia-Japan Society early to reserve your place!
